Match Preview:
The first game on Sunday will see Sheffield United take on Fulham, the two bottom teams currently in the Premier League.
This is a fixture that in recent years would be a Championship game and so it is credit to both clubs for making the top tier, but they could be playing each other next season in the 2nd tier league.
Sheffield United after having such a solid last season and are in real trouble. The Blades have lost all of their 4 games so far. They have scored just 1 goal and conceded six. Chris Wilder is under intense pressure to get his team playing well again and believing in themselves. In fairness they did well against Arsenal in their last game only losing 2-1 and hanging in until the end but alas it was another defeat. Their last home game was against Leeds in which the tie seemed to be finishing 0-0 until Leeds scored to break hearts with just a couple of minutes left through Patrick Bamford.
It’s early in the season but you feel the writing could already be on the wall for Fulham. Stone last is one thing but conceding 11 goals already is really rather telling. Though like their opponents there were some improvements in their last game where they lost against Wolves but by only 1-0.
Scott Parker’s team look there for the beating but they will think they can get something here. In reality their defence needs to be shored up and they need to start bringing in the points at home. This looks like it could be a long hard season for the club.
Team News:
Sheffield United: John Egan is out with fitness issues but should be back next week. John Fleck is 50/50 with a back issue and will be assessed. Stuart Armstrong has Covid-19 and will miss this game. David McGoldrick and Oliver Burke have minor knocks and should be available for the game.
Fulham: Harrison Reed has an on going knock and is only 50/50 to make the match. Kenny Tete could be out long term with his calf injury.
Sheffield Utd vs Fulham Head to Head:
The last league game the clubs played at Sheffield United was in the Championship and that fixture ended 1-1.
The teams met just a few weeks ago in the Carabao Cup where at Craven Cottage Fulham won 2-0.
There is a 60% chance to see both teams to score.

Sheffield United have to come out to win being the home side. Both managers will feel that the international break was a chance to have just that, a break, and then re group and try to collect some form. The problem is who ever loses this game may stay in the doldrums.
For United they have to think back to last season and how well they played and bring that feeling to this game. This is their chance to finally get some points and we don’t expect Fulham to be winning games away from home very often this season. It could be very close but our choice here is to see a home win but we will cover the draw for extra security.
