Norwich vs Liverpool: Preview and Prediction

England Premier League
Saturday 15th February 2020
Kick off at 5:30pm GMT
Venue: Carrow Road

Match Preview:

Just when Norwich thought it was safe to go back onto a pitch….. In fairness Norwich have actually played some good football this season and they have beaten Manchester City at Carrow Road so why be afraid when they have to take on Liverpool?

Whilst Norwich can still save their season they do look like they will be relegated and are 8 points from safety. They drew their last game 0-0 against Newcastle but have won just 4 games all season and earned 7 points from their last 30. Put that into context where Liverpool have won all 30 points from their last 10 games and you are talking about two teams that do play in the same league but it feels like one of them is playing on a very different planet.

It is only a matter of time before Liverpool win the league and they are 22 points in front of 2nd placed Manchester City and 55 points in front of Norwich. Indeed Liverpool’s gap to City is more points than Norwich have won all season.

Liverpool just continue to impress and have remained unbeaten for over a year in the league now and are on course to break old standing records, one of them would be beating the 49 games unbeaten that Arsenal achieved in 2003/04. The Reds have the best away record winning 11 games and drawing one of the 12 they have played so far.

Team News:

Norwich: The club have no new injuries coming into this game. Sadio Mane returned to full training this week and could be set to play a role in the game.

Liverpool: No new injuries for Jurgen Klopp’s side.

Norwich vs Liverpool Head to Head:

The last time Liverpool played here was in 2016 and it ended up being a classic game where the Reds won 5-4.

Liverpool have scored 28 goals against Norwich in the last seven meetings.

The last 5 meetings has seen both teams to score.

Norwich vs Liverpool Prediction:

As normal Liverpool are odds on for this game with no real value attached. One choice we do like is both teams to score. Even though this could seem unlikely, Norwich have very little to lose now and they have evidently raised their game against the bigger teams and tried to give them a game. The club will probably leave themselves quite exposed in doing so and that is why we think there are goals in this game. We should see a fairly entertaining game, but Liverpool will want this one over with quick with the Champions League starting off again this month.
