England Premier League
Sunday 10th November 2019
Kick off at 2pm GMT
Venue: Old Trafford
Match Preview:
Despite recent problems Manchester United will be the favourites at Old Trafford to beat Brighton and the club could really do with all three points. They were beaten by Bournemouth last week, which ended a mini revival of sorts as before they had drawn against Liverpool and beaten Norwich.
United come into this game in 14th place, a massive 18 points behind Liverpool and 12 points from a top 4 finish. We can talk about mini revivals like the media have but at the end of the day 1 win in 5 Premier League games doesn’t feel like it.
At Old Trafford it should be remembered that the club have only lost 1 game so far this season, they are unbeaten here in their last 3 games and are the only team so far to take any points from Liverpool. However, even their home record would leave them in 11th place. There is still evidently so much more work to be done at the club.
Brighton are in good form and have won 3 of their last 4 games including two on a bounce coming into this clash. They have scored 5 goals in their past two games also and are two points in front of Manchester United.
Away form has been bleak with just 1 win all season and 1 point won from their last available 12.
Team News:
Manchester United: Victor Lindelof has a minor knock and is expected to be fit for this game. Nemanja Matic and Paul Pogba continue to be missing with their respective injuries, though Matic is due back in the next two weeks. Ashley Young is suspended for this game after picking up five yellows
Brighton: Adam Webster is out with an ankle injury, he is the only new injury concern for the club
