Match Preview:
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is certainly having periods with Manchester United where everything he touches either turns to gold or copper- and he is in his gold period. United are playing well, looking confident and the club have always relished a challenge and that is finishing in a top 4 place.
For the past few weeks and months they have been chasing down Chelsea and with just a few weeks left of the Premier League campaign, it boils down to this. United are in 5th place and just 2 points adrift of the Blues, win this and they would go above them, although Chelsea are playing later in the day.
The Red Devils have been in impressive form since the restart taking 7 points from a possible 9, only dropping points at Tottenham, where that game finished 1-1 after they were trailing. Since then victories over Sheffield United and Brighton have reignited their league status. Some would say those matches including this one aren’t the biggest tests for United but what has been impressive is how the club have won them, and they have conceded 0 goals in their last two games and scored 6.
Bournemouth are just a point from safety but it wouldn’t be a surprise if the club were to be relegated this season. Their recent 4-1 loss at the hands of Newcastle means that Eddie Howe’s side have now lost their last 4 games in a row.
They have not won away this year and have lost 12 games on the road. They have the 4th to worst record away from home collecting just 10 points from a possible 48.

Bournemouth: Callum Wilson misses this game through suspension though that ends with this match. Simon Francis is fighting to be fine for this game after his knee problem, he remains 50/50.

We expect Manchester United to give a performance just like their last two games, very dominant and loaded with goals. Bournemouth will have to try but at the same time they are not on the same level at this time as United. Come out and attack and leave gaps. It seems as far as tactics go to try and get something here that may well go out the window, and United have the quality to make their opponents run around like headless chickens. Talking of heads, United are in a good state of mind. Out of all of the weekend games, this is the one where we believe it to be a home banker. To further highlight Bournemouth’s misery there are goals all over this United team, and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see them score a few.
