Liverpool vs Brighton: Preview and Prediction

England Premier League
Saturday 30th November 2019
Kick off at 3pm GMT
Venue: Anfield

Match Preview:

And Liverpool march on. The Reds next game will be their 14th of the season and they currently remain unbeaten and have an 8 point lead at the top over Leicester. They will host Brighton and be the big odds on favourites to win that game.

Liverpool have won 4 games in a row coming into this match and have played some great football but there have been some negatives thrown the clubs way. Perhaps some lucky VAR decisions have contributed and then there is the fact that they are rarely winning games convincingly and just doing enough. Plenty of their games this season have ended with just a 1 goal winning margin. But at the end of the day winning 9-0 like Leicester did against Southampton the other week is still the same 3 points.

The other negative was in midweek when the club could only draw 1-1 at home against Napoli, which ended up delaying their progress to the knock out stages of the Champions League.

Jurgen Klopp’s team are the only club in the Premier League to boast a 100% record at home after six games. They are scoring on average 3 goals a game.

Brighton are in 12th place and to be fair if they finish the season like that they would have to be happy. Form has been encouraging but Graham Potter’s side came back down to earth in the last couple of weeks losing against Manchester United and Leicester and it’s clear that up against the bigger sides the club will struggle this season.

Potter’s side have the 3rd worst away record in the league, which is something no fan would want to be reminded about having to travel to Anfield. They have just 1 away win and have gained 4 points from a possible 18.

Team News:

Liverpool: Fabinho will be out until next year with an ankle injury sustained in their midweek Champions League tie. Naby Keita should be back following illness which made him miss the Napoli game

Brighton: Solly March will face a late test after his groin injury to be fit. Bernardo has a lack of match fitness but should be back next week

Liverpool vs Brighton Prediction:

An easy win for Liverpool awaits, anything else would be seen as one of the shocks of the season and sadly Brighton do not give us any hope to produce that. Liverpool will be just too good and the best Brighton can do would be to frustrate them and try and park the bus so to speak and counter. But Liverpool will keep coming and coming and expect waves of attacks. Liverpool are big odds on but we really feel confident that they can produce something special at the weekend and that is why we will take them to be leading at half time. We expect a few goals too.

Liverpool vs Brighton Betting Tips:

Liverpool to be winning at half time at: 1.57

Liverpool to score 3+ goals at 1.83
