Huddersfield vs West Ham: Preview and Prediction

England Premier League
Saturday 10th November 2018
Kick off at 3pm GMT
Venue: Kirklees Stadium

Match Preview:

Huddersfield were lifted from the bottom of the league after they beat Fulham on Monday night to win their first game of the season at the 11th time of asking. It was a huge win and moved the club up to 18th. On Saturday afternoon they will face on paper a tougher test when West Ham come to visit.

Huddersfield’s home form is poor with 4 losses from five but we must respect what Monday’s win has done for team morale and they will be determined to win back to back games before the international break comes in.

West Ham recorded a terrific home win against Burnley last weekend. True they ended up making heavy weather of it but in the end they powered through 4-2. This was a significant win giving that they had gone 3 matches without a win before this one.

The Hammers have looked great this season but also very poor and one can wonder if anything has changed under the managership of Manuel Pellegrini as yet. From 5 away games they have lost 3 and won just one.

Team News:

Huddersfield: Erik Durm is recovering from a groin injury and could make a return to the squad. Other than this the club have no new major injuries

West Ham: Mark Noble is currently serving a 3 game match ban and won’t be back until the end of the month. Jack Wilshire is training after his ankle injury but will miss this game

Huddersfield vs West Ham Head to Head:

West Ham won this fixture last season 4-1.

Other than last season the teams have not played each other for over 15 years. So in the two games they have played West Ham have won both of those games.

West Ham have scored 6 goals in their last 2 meetings with Huddersfield.

Huddersfield vs West Ham Prediction:

West Ham have been installed as favourites and history says they like playing Huddersfield. Of the 3 different players that scored against Huddersfield earlier this year, two of them, Mark Noble and Manuel Lanzini are out but the other is Marko Arnautovic who scored last weekend and was very impressive. So we will pick him to score again in this game. West Ham have conceded in every away game so far and so we will back both teams to find the back of the net in a game that could be closer than some would suggest.

Huddersfield vs West Ham Betting Tips:

Anytime goalscorer: Marko Arnautovic at 2.50

Both teams to score at 1.91
