Match Preview:
Fulham are one of those clubs in the relegation zone that you feel if their finishing was better they would be in mid table because the Cottagers have performed well in a whole host of games and yet are amongst the favourites to be relegated.
Scott Parker’s side come into this game in 18th place but they are just six points behind 17th placed Newcastle and also have Brighton in their sights and their season isn’t over yet. The good news for Parker is that his side are listening to him and are playing to survive and that’s why the club have lost just once in their last five games.
Fulham haven’t had it easy and have played 2 consecutive games away from home where they have impressively beaten Everton 2-0 and drawn against Burnley 1-1, although in the Burnley game they were winning that one.
Sheffield United are bottom and are 14 points from safety. The club lost last weekend 3-0 against West Ham and times are desperate for the Blades now. Chris Wilder’s side have won 2 of their last five games but come into this one having lost their last 2. Away from home it’s 10 defeats from 12 games and 4 of those have happened in their last five. The club remain quite stubborn in conceding goals on the road with 22 so far but have only scored six themselves, and from a possible 36 away points they have only won 4.
Team News:
Fulham: There are no new injuries for the club but Aleksandar Mitrovic is out as he has Covid-19.
Sheffield United: John Egan has a leg injury and looks ruled out of this game. John Fleck could return after illness forced him to miss the West Ham game.

The last time the clubs played this fixture was back in 2018 in the Championship and Fulham won 3-0.
Earlier in the season the game finished 1-1.
Sheffield United have not defeated Fulham in the league since 2007.

For all of Fulham’s good recent form they will be attempting to win just their 2nd game at home of the season. But this is it for the club, this is the opportunity to try and stay up and draws aren’t going to do it that’s the bottom line. Newcastle are away to Manchester United and that has to be great motivation for Fulham to win here as if the Magpies lose in Manchester, Fulham would only be 3 points behind with a win and survival would start to look very realistic.
Sheffield United have very little to lose, yes time is on their side still but in reality they will be going down this season, that’s why for us this is a home win. If Fulham start quick and take an early lead you have to wonder what the Blades will put into the rest of the game? Like at Everton Fulham are going to need 2 goals probably to seal this one up and we will back that also.
The price on a home win seems very generous to us at 2.25 and that should be taken on.
