England Premier League
Sunday 12th May 2019
Kick off at 3pm BST
Venue: Selhurst Park
Crystal Palace have been one of the best form teams in the Premier League in the past few months and have shown a new found maturity, which manager Roy Hodgson should be very proud of. They have gone from the pushovers of last season to a reliable solid team and Hodgson has made The Eagles a team to be feared.
Palace have climbed to 12th as a result and could finish 11th with a win here and seeing West Ham lose their final game. Palace sent down Cardiff last weekend in a thrilling 3-2 win and back at home they will feel confident of winning their 14th game of the season. Although the club hold a rare feat of having a better away record than at home, indeed in front of their fans they have won just 4 times and have the 2nd to worst home record in the league.
Bournemouth are in 13th and could leap frog Palace with a win as they are just a point behind them. With millions involved in final placings this game has more riding on it than suggested with a quick glance.
Eddie Howe’s team beat Tottenham 1-0 in their last game although it was evident by the events of this week that Tottenham’s heads were not in that league game at all. However Bournemouth have only lost 1 game from their past four and have a good recent away record too. This includes beating Brighton 5-0 and drawing 3-3 with Southampton, there are goals in this side.
Crystal Palace: Christian Benteke remains 50/50 with a facial injury but given this is the last game of the season at home he may feature
Bournemouth: David Brooks will be assessed after his knock earlier this month. Dan Gosling is 50/50 to return with his calf. Dominic Solanke has a chance to play and should be assessed before the game after suffering a hamstring injury at the end of last month
Crystal Palace vs Bournemouth Head to Head:
Bournemouth won the reverse fixture earlier in the season 2-1.
Last season this fixture ended 2-2.
5 of the last 6 games has seen both teams to score.
Crystal Palace vs Bournemouth Prediction:
There is a position at stake but honestly we expect to see a fun game of football where they will be some relaxed attitudes but still keep that competitive nature so famous with the Premier League. We expect an entertaining game, full of goals, and it is what this fixture usually throws up. Our main bet will be to see goals and we will go over 2.5 to be seen here and also suggest your maximum stake on this market.
