Match Preview:
Croatia have been one of the form teams of the World Cup so far. They have had a near perfect record, 3 wins from 3 matches scoring 7 goals and conceding just once, it’s very difficult to look past them here. Their most impressive result came against Argentina where they easily despatched one of the pre tournament favourites 3-0. They will be trying to go one better than their infamous team from 1998 who reached the semi-finals.
In Luka Modric they have a real leader who has already made a huge impact on what will be his last World Cup, and although their team isn't flooded with star names, they have a very good balance.
Denmark have been solid but have hardly been impressive. They secured what turned out to be a very important 1-0 win against Peru in their opening match. Then they drew 1-1 with Australia in a poor game and then were involved in arguably the most dire game of the tournament with a 0-0 result against France which insured that they went through.
These results leave them somewhat of an unknown quantity, however they certainly aren't impressing, and seem fairly reliant on the performances of Christian Eriksen.
