All of a sudden life is rosy for Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri who looked like he was on the verge of the sack a few weeks ago. However Chelsea have put two wins together and have a game in hand, which if they win would put them into 4th place. On top of that they have one foot firmly in the quarter finals of the Europa League after beating Dynamo Kiev 3-0 in the first leg.
Another situation which has helped deflect any team problems that Sarri did have is UEFA and FIFA’s decision to ban the club from two transfer windows over player irregulaties, Chelsea will appeal, but it has taken the heat from Sarri for the time being.

Wolves in 7th are currently the best of the rest but there is a 13 point gap to 6th place Chelsea which tells us a lot about the real gap in league status. Their win over Cardiff last weekend was their first in 3 games. Recent away form has not been good for the club with just 1 win in their past 4 matches and they have won 5 matches overall.
