Burnley come into this match in 7^th place and have won back to back games. Victories over West Ham and Watford both by the same score lines of 3-0 have rescued a string of almost derailing results where they had lost 3 consecutive games.

Confidence certainly seems restored. Not only is Sean Dyche’s team winning games, they are also scoring and not conceding, and on paper they should be the favourites to win this game. The club have gained 12 points from 18 at home winning 3 from their last four and have lost just twice at home this season. A win at the weekend could take the club into the top 5.

Crystal Palace’s form has long deserted them and they have really fallen in the league. It was only a month ago that the Eagles had flown into the top 7 but they are now in 13^th place and come here after losing 3 consecutive games.

Roy Hodgson’s side have not won away since the beginning of October when they beat West Ham. What is interesting though is that if they were to win this game they would join Burnley on the same points.

Palace seem to have a hold over Burnley recently and usually do very well against them. The problem is that Palace’s form is very poor but we are going to ignore that. The reason is look who they have had to face in recent weeks; Liverpool, Chelsea, Leicester, Arsenal and Manchester City, that’s the top 4 plus Arsenal away which is never an easy ground to go to.

We think this will be a close game but will edge it for the away side to take something from this game, a game that will probably be decided by a piece of great play or VAR.
