Match Preview:
At the weekend despite a fierce battle Brighton lost 3-2 to Crystal Palace and that meant the club have won just one game in their past five. Brighton clearly are not out of the woods on 35 points but they do have a 7 point saftey net and with five games remaining they will feel that just one more win could be enough to guarantee their safety.
Brighton’s record at home is fairly decent with just 4 losses all season however the club has now gone their last two games with no wins at the AMEX stadium.
Tottenham sufferered a rare defeat at the weekend after a fantastic winning run, although it was to the new champions Manchester City. Pep Guardiola’s side bounced back in style after crashing out of the Champions League. Perhaps for Tottenham it was a reality check but nothing can take away from their commitment and the leaps they have taken forward this season.
With their weekend loss and Chelsea winning, the gap Spurs have in 4th place is now 7 points and this game therefore is a must win for the north Londoners to help secure that final Champions League place.
