Bournemouth vs Fulham: Preview and Prediction

England Premier League
Saturday 20th April 2019
Kick off at 3pm BST
Venue: Vitality Stadium

Match Preview:

If you’re going to end a 3 game streak without a win then do it in style, and that’s what Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth team did when they demolished Brighton 5-0 at The AMEX last weekend. The win took the club into 12th place with 41 points and they are very much safe this season.

Bournemouth have won 26 of their 41 points at home and they will be the favourites to get back to back wins when they play the already relegated Fulham. Positions of course mean more Premier League money at the end of the season and realistically Bournemouth could still finish 11th and leapfrog West Ham with a win at the weekend. Because of their result last weekend which saw 5 different players score the team will come here with a lot of confidence.

You have to hand it to Scott Parker and Fulham, with nothing to play for after being relegated the week before, they then beat Everton 2-0 at Craven Cottage. The team showed a passion and hunger to win and simply wanted it more and this must have made Parker very proud, even if it’s too much too late.

The win was just The Cottagers 5th of the season and with the league over for both of these teams we should see a friendly type of atmosphere here with both going for a win.

Team News:

Bournemouth: Charlie Daniels is set to miss the rest of the season with a knee injury. The same diagnosis has been given to Diego Rico with his ankle injury

Fulham: Timothy Fosu-Mensah picked up a knee injury v Everton but could be 50/50 to return here and will be assessed. Alfie Mawson is almost back after being out for some time, now it is just a fitness issue. He is set to miss this game but should be back before the end of the month

Bournemouth vs Fulham Head to Head:

Earlier this season Bournemouth beat Fulham 3-0.

The teams have only played 3 matches this decade with Bournemouth winning every game.

Bournemouth have scored 10 goals in the 3 meetings with Fulham scoring just once.

Bournemouth vs Fulham Prediction:

Bournemouth haven’t suffered any new injuries since beating Brighton 5-0 away from home and they should be able to get the job done here when returning to their home fans. However they have not won a game at home since January, but we see that more as a reason for the team being determined to rectify that after such an emphatic victory.

Fulham did really well last weekend but that doesn’t mean they will finish their season strong and we have to remember that this is still the same side who are yet to win a game away from home this season.

Bournemouth vs Fulham Betting Tips:

Bournemouth to beat Fulham at 1.70

Bournemouth to score 2+ goals at 1.53

Anytime goalscorer: Callum Wilson at 1.91
