Betting Challenge: How 19 bets turned £20 into £1000!

26th March 2018

Share this:

Not too long ago we completed our £20 to £1000 Challenge, winning 19 consecutive bets to successfully turn £20 into over £1000. This article will take you through how we were able to complete this challenge, and believe me it is a challenge to try and win 19 consecutive bets. It will give an insight into the types of selections that we used, giving reasons as to why they were selected and why we thought they would win, and will also cover the outcomes of each bet and how sometimes a bit of luck was required along the way.

For those of you who are unaware of what a betting challenge is, the aim is to turn an initial £20 stake into £1000 using very safe short odds bets. Then each time a bet wins; the returns are used as the stake for the following bet until the £1000 is reached. I must stress this is not a recommended strategy for making profit on a long term basis, however it is a lot of fun and the potential winnings are very large from just a small initial stake.

Hopefully by the end of this article you will have a good understanding of the type of strategy and approach required to complete a £1000 betting challenge, and for those of you looking for a more in-depth guide into the strategy required to succeed, read our 20 best tips on how to win a £1000 betting challenge.

There are obviously many strategies out there, however this worked for us, and it may be of help if you try and complete one yourself in the future.

£20 to £1000 Challenge Tip 1 (19th Nov 2017)

£20 to £1000 Challenge Tip 1 (19th Nov 2017)

Reason for Bet 1 selections: Although both selections weren't from the most ideal of leagues (Belgium and Turkey) in terms of predictability, both games contained very strong teams within their respective leagues. Both teams also had home advantage where they are usually very strong, and are known for having good goal scoring records, therefore it would be no surprise to see Fenerbahce and Club Brugge alone score enough goals to win the first bet.

Bet 1 Outcome: Bet 1 got our £20 to £1000 betting Challenge off to a solid start as it took less than 50 minutes of both games for our selections to win. The Fenerbahce vs Sivasspor selection needed only 47 minutes for 2 goals to be scored in a high scoring game that ended up with 5 goals, and the Club Brugge vs Waasland-Beveren selection needed only 48 minutes for the 2nd of 3 goals to be scored.

£20 to £1000 Challenge Tip 2 (21st Nov 2017)

£20 to £1000 Challenge Tip 2 (21st Nov 2017)

Reason for Bet 2 selections: Our first selection "Draw no bet (Brentford)" appeared very safe as Brentford are a strong Championship side who play good football and hadn't lost a home league game since the middle of August. They had home advantage, the draw was covered, and they were up against a Burton side who were really struggling at the time, managing just 1 away league win and 2 league goals away from home before the Brentford game.

Our second selection was as obvious as they come. No disrespect to APOEL, but the Cyprus First Division is far from being the strongest of leagues, so for them to play Real Madrid, one of the most talented club sides in the world, there was surely only one outcome on the cards whether they had home advantage or not.

Bet 2 Outcome: If we ever needed an example to justify how useful covering the draw is in £1000 Challenge tips, then the Brentford selection did just that. Brentford dominated the game in possession and chances on goal, yet their 1 goal lead was pegged back late on to end the game with a 1-1 draw, making the selection void.

Our second selection had no such problems, dominating the match and the scoreline from start to finish, including a couple of goals each from Ronaldo and Benzema to run away with an easy 6-0 win for Real Madrid.

£20 to £1000 Challenge Tip 3 (22nd Nov 2017)

£20 to £1000 Challenge Tip 3 (22nd Nov 2017)

Reason for Bet 3 selection: Bayern Munich to beat Anderlecht seemed like a very obvious and safe choice despite Bayern not having home advantage, and this was because of the huge difference in quality between the two teams. Bayern were on a great run of form since the return of Jupp Heynckes, and they had only dropped points away to PSG so far in the Champions League group stage. So to then play Anderlecht who had lost all of their group stage games prior to this game, without even managing to score a single goal, an upset surely wasn't on the cards.

Bet 3 Outcome: As expected, an upset didn't happen, however Bayern did make hard work of what should have been a comfortable win. They were very poor in the first half, and actually created less chances on goal than Anderlecht. Fortunately they stepped up their performance in the second half and scored an early goal thanks to star striker Robert Lewandowski. That lead lasted only 12 minutes though as Anderlecht equalized in the 63rd minute, leaving just 27 minutes for Bayern to score a winner. Luckily for us the winner came via midfielder Corentin Tolisso in the 77th minute, which was enough to progress to £1000 Challenge Bet 4.

£20 to £1000 Challenge Tip 4 (24th Nov 2017)

£20 to £1000 Challenge Tip 4 (24th Nov 2017)

Reason for Bet 4 selections: The thinking behind our "+1 Leicester" selection was as much based on form, as it was the appointment of David Moyes at West Ham. West Ham had been poor leading up to this game, winning just two games all season (Huddersfield and Swansea), and their opponents Leicester were going through a very strong spell of form, losing only to Manchester City in their last 6 league games. On top of that, David Moyes had lost his first game in charge to Watford, and being a more negative minded tactician it seemed unlikely West Ham would win by more than a one goal margin.

Our second selection was from a league that wouldn't be classed as an ideal choice (France Ligue 2), however Nimes were on a run of good form, winning their previous 3 home league games, scoring 4 goals in each. On top of that, their opponents Bourg Peronnas had lost 6 consecutive away league games leading up to this encounter. So to be able to back Nimes and cover the draw gave this selection a high level of safety.

Bet 4 Outcome: There were no stressful moments for Bet 4 to encounter. Leicester were closely matched with West Ham, with the game ending in a 1-1 draw, and our +1 asian handicap was never threatened. While Nimes were on top throughout their match, taking the lead with a penalty in the 1st half, before a Umut Bozok hat-trick sealed a comfortable 4-0 win.

£20 to £1000 Challenge Tip 5 (25th Nov 2017)

£20 to £1000 Challenge Tip 5 (25th Nov 2017)

Reason for Bet 5 selections: Our first selection "Asian handicap (+0.5 RB Leipzig)"
had value written all over it. RB Leipzig came into the game undefeated at home in the league, and their opponents Bremen were yet to win away from home in the league. Therefore to be able to back the home win or draw was incredible value and a very easy choice to make.

Our second selection "WIN (Man Utd)" was similar in that Man Utd came into the game undefeated at home, in fact they had a 100% record at home at the time. Their opponents Brighton however did have a couple of away wins under their belts, which combined with the odds on Man Utd not being long enough to cover the draw, it certainly added a little more risk to this selection.

Bet 5 Outcome: RB Leipzig comfortably won their game 2-0 thanks to a strong performance consisting of more possession and shots than Bremen, and as a result more goals also.

Manchester Utd on the other hand made hard work of their 1-0 win. They deserved the 3 points, but it did require an own goal from Lewis Dunk in order to achieve it. So not a classic Man Utd performance by any stretch of the imagination, but still enough to move the £1000 betting Challenge onto Bet 6.

£20 to £1000 Challenge Tip 6 (26th Nov 2017)

£20 to £1000 Challenge Tip 6 (26th Nov 2017)

Reason for Bet 6 selections: Real Sociedad haven't had the best of seasons, however at the time of choosing them for this selection (+0.5 Real Sociedad) their only home losses were against two very strong teams in Real Madrid and Valencia. Their opponents (Las Palmas) couldn't be considered a strong side, losing their previous 4 away games without scoring a single goal. Therefore with home advantage and the draw covered, Real Sociedad seemed like a safe selection.

Our second selection "WIN (Juventus)" was a fairly obvious choice. The defending champions are more than capable of beating any team at Allianz Stadium, so it had to be likely they would beat relegation candidates Crotone.

Bet 6 Outcome: Real Sociedad caused more stress than had been expected, going a goal down after only 21 minutes, and what should have been a comfortable home win ended up being a 2-2 draw, however that was still good enough for our selection to win.

Juventus on the other hand had no problems whatsoever. Although they did leave the scoring to the second half, however were dominant throughout and finished strongly to win 3-0.

£20 to £1000 Challenge Tip 7 (27th Nov 2017)

£20 to £1000 Challenge Tip 7 (27th Nov 2017)

Reason for Bet 7 selections: Midtjylland are not a team many casual football fans around the world will have heard of, but they have been a very reliable Denmark Superliga team this season. Coming into this game they had only dropped 2 points from their 8 home league games, scoring on average 3 goals per game in the proccess. Whereas their opponents Aarhus had lost the majority of their games and lacked a clear goalscorer. Therefore to be able to back the home win or draw was surely a safe selection.

Our second selection "Asian handicap (-0.5 AEK Athens)" was also very much based upon home advantage, as AEK Athens are very strong at Spiros Louis. Winning 80% of their home league games leading up to this encounter, and even beating teams like Olympiakos and PAOK along the way. Whereas their opponents Platanias were on a 6 game losing streak and looking like they didn't even belong in the league, making a home win seem extremely likely.

Bet 7 Outcome: Both selections couldn't have gone better, with both recording comfortable wins by large margins. Both teams put in dominant displays, scoring 4 and 3 goals respectively, with neither selected team conceding a single goal. If only all £20 to £1000 Challenge tips could go a smoothly as Bet 7.

£20 to £1000 Challenge Tip 8 (29th Nov 2017)

£20 to £1000 Challenge Tip 8 (29th Nov 2017)

Reason for Bet 8 Selection: It almost feels this selection doesn't really need an explanation. We all know how dominant Manchester City have been this season, and it's no real surprise considering the money Pep Guardiola had spent adding to what was already a very talented team. Leading up to this encounter Man City had won their previous 11 Premier League games since their surprise draw with Everton, with their home wins being better described as demolitions than wins. Their opponents (Southampton) however had been having a very unimpressive start to the season for a team many people would expect to be aiming for a top 7 finish. Therefore there was only one logical expected outcome, and that was yet another win for Manchester City and most likely by a wide margin.

Bet 8 Outcome: As expected, Man City were dominating possession and creating chance after chance in the first half, however the score was still 0-0 when they reached half time. Were we in for a shock result? Fortunately 2 minutes after the break Kevin De Bruyne gave City the lead via a deflected free kick. However with 15 minutes of the game left to play Southampton midfielder Oriol Romeu equalized, leaving a very tense finish ahead. 90 minutes were up and it was still 1-1, but with 5 minutes of injury time there was still hope. The 5 minutes injury time was up but the referee still hadn't blown the final whistle, and that's when Raheem Sterling fired home the winner for Man City in the 96th minute, which is the moment I thought to myself "maybe we have luck on our side in this particular £1000 betting Challenge".

£20 to £1000 Challenge Tip 9 (1st Dec 2017)

£20 to £1000 Challenge Tip 9 (1st Dec 2017)

Reason for Bet 9 selections: Both Slavia Prague vs Ostrava and NEC Nijmegen vs Dordrecht were picked for "Goal line (Over 1.5)" selections, however they were selected for very opposite reasons.

Slavia Prague are the 16/17 League Champions and very strong at Eden Arena, and were the league's top goal scorers at home when this match was played, however it was the defensive vulnerabilities away from home of Ostrava, which was the overriding factor in this selection. Other than their first away match of the season against Brno, Ostrava had conceded 2 or more goals against every single team they had visited, and most of which wouldn't have been as strong as Slavia Prague, therefore is seemed very likely that Slavia Prague alone would be able to get at least 2 goals.

With our second selection however, it was more about NEC Nijmegen's ability to score, which was the overriding factor. Coming into this game they had scored 2 or more goals in all but one of their home league games, totaling 20 goals scored in just 8 home games. Having said that, their opponents Dordrecht certainly knew how to concede goals, conceding 16 from 7 away games. However, it was less consistent than Ostrava's ability to concede, with some games conceding 5 goals yet keeping a clean sheet in others. Either way, it looked likely they would concede a few to NEC Nijmegen.

Bet 9 Outcome: Our first selection "Slavia Prague vs Ostrava" took just 25 minutes for 2 goals to be scored, with Ostrava taking the lead in the 8th minute, before Slavia Prague equalized in the 25th. The game finished 2-1 to Slavia Prague and contained easily enough for our selection to win.

Our second selection took a little longer for two goals to be scored (35 minutes) but the overall outcome was the same, more than enough goals were scored for the selection to win, thanks to a 6-0 thrashing from NEC Nijmegen.

£20 to £1000 Challenge Tip 10 (2nd Dec 2017)

£20 to £1000 Challenge Tip 10 (2nd Dec 2017)

Reason for Bet 10 selections: This was the second time we had used Bayern Munich in this £20 to £1000 Challenge, and for obvious reasons as they rarely lose a game at Allianz Arena. In this particular encounter, it's not that Hannover are particularly bad, because they're not, but they are nowhere near the standard of Bayern. Especially since Jupp Heynckes replaced Carlo Ancelotti, resulting in improved form for Bayern. Historically Bayern had also won the last 10 encounters between these two sides, so it looked like that run would continue.

Schalke on the other hand are the kind of side you often expect to win but they can often put in a surprise bad performance, which can mess things up, and that's why the draw was covered in this selection. Schalke are usually very strong at home, and Cologne had managed just 1 point away from home leading up to this game, so it looked very unlikely that Schalke would be at any genuine risk of losing.

Bet 10 Outcome: It was a fairly straightforward afternoon for Bayern Munich. As expected they dominated possession and attempts on goal but it was still only 1-1 at half time. They stepped things up in the second half though to score a couple more goals and record a comfortable 3-1 win.

Schalke however showed why we like to use them a little more cautiously for our selections. As with Bayern, Schalke were dominant in possession and attempts on goal, however both times they took the lead, they weren't able to hold it for long and the match ended 2-2 despite Schalke having more than three times the number of attempts on goal Cologne had. This made the second selection "void" and the double a partial win, moving us onto £227.20 for Tip 11.

£20 to £1000 Challenge Tip 11 (3rd Dec 2017)

£20 to £1000 Challenge Tip 11 (3rd Dec 2017)

Reason for Bet 11 selections: As with Bayern Munich in our previous bet, this was the second time we had used Manchester City. The reasoning for picking Man City to win was blatantly obvious again with Man City not dropping a single point at home since their surprise 1-1 draw with Everton back in August 2017. On top of that, West Ham hadn't managed a win in their previous 7 league games, and had just been thumped 4-0 by a struggling Everton.

Our second selection was extremely good value to be able to select Braga to win or draw and still have worthwhile odds. Braga had only lost once at home, and that was to an extremely strong Porto side, and their opponents Ferreira were yet to win an away game and had managed just one point away from home at that point in the season.

Bet 11 Outcome: As with our previous Man City selection (Bet 8), they made hard work of the match despite dominating throughout. A goal for West Ham just before half time left Man City with just 45 minutes to turn the game around. Fortunately they were able to do so but the winner did come in the last 10 minutes via David Silva so it was a pretty tense finish.

Braga on the other hand never looked in trouble, however they also looked like they might struggle to score. Fortunately Mateus Da Silva's red card for Ferreira midway through the second half helped Braga break the deadlock, and they ended up 3-0 winners.

£20 to £1000 Challenge Tip 12 (4th Dec 2017)

£20 to £1000 Challenge Tip 12 (4th Dec 2017)

Reason for Bet 12 selection: As you can see from the last couple of bets and now this one, stick to what you know, and we know certain teams are reliable, which is why we use them more often than others.

Midtjylland is another example of this, already used in Bet 7, and once again here they presented great value having home advantage but still being able to cover the draw. Midtjylland had dropped just 2 points at MCH Arena before this encounter with Odense, a team they had beaten in their last 5 home encounters. Odense were also struggling to beat teams away from home, with just 2 wins coming before this match. On paper this looked a very safe selection.

Bet 12 Outcome: There were no dramas with this selection, as after a dominant first half performance, Midtjylland had taken a 3-0 lead in just 38 minutes. Odense did manage to get a goal back in the second half but Midtjylland had taken their foot of the gas and still cruised to victory.

£20 to £1000 Challenge Tip 13 (9th Dec 2017)

£20 to £1000 Challenge Tip 13 (9th Dec 2017)

Reason for Bet 13 selections: To be able to back RB Leipzig to win or draw represented very good value as they are very strong when playing at Red Bull Arena. They came into this game undefeated at home in the league and their opponents Mainz were still yet to record a win away from home, so the chances of RB Leipzig losing looked incredibly slim.

The same could be said for our second selection "Asian handicap (+0.5 Wigan)". They came into their match having kept 7 clean sheets from 10 home league games, 7 of which were wins, and just the one loss. Their opponents (Fleetwood) didn't have a bad away record, however they hadn't won any of their previous 5 away league games, so form wasn't on their side. Wigan certainly didn't look in too much danger of losing.

Bet 13 Outcome: RB Leipzig's game was closer than expected; they had the better of the first half and took a 2-1 lead, however the second half had a change in momentum as Mainz pushed to get back into the game. Mainz did manage a late consolation goal to end the match a 2-2 draw but that was still enough for our selection to win.

Our second selection (Wigan) gave another defensive masterclass, taking a 2-0 lead in the first half and then remaining impossible to break down for the rest of the game. This lead to another home clean sheet and another selection win.

£20 to £1000 Challenge Tip 14 (10th Dec 2017)

£20 to £1000 Challenge Tip 14 (10th Dec 2017)

Reason for Bet 14 selections: Udinese aren't a team that stand out as being the most reliable, they don't have a win record like Juventus or Napoli, however it was their opponents that made this selection a must have. Leading up to this game Benevento had lost every single away league match they had played, and had only managed one point at home. Udinese on the other hand had just played a couple of high scoring wins in the the Coppa Italia and Serie A, so with newly promoted Benevento being so poor this season, being able to back Udinese for the win or draw at Dacia Arena was virtually a sure thing.

Our second selection "Double chance (Brondby or draw)" was another obvious choice and very short odds due to how likely the outcome was. Coming in to this game Brondby were unbeaten at home and their opponents Aarhus had lost their last 3 away games without scoring a single goal. The only thing against Brondby was losing away to Aarhus earlier in the season, however a red card for Brondby after only 25 minutes will have had a big impact on that result.

Bet 14 Outcome: Udinese couldn't have got off to a better start, taking the lead after just 5 minutes via midfielder Antonin Barak. They doubled their lead just before the half time break and proceeded to shut up shop in the second half to win the game 2-0.

Our second selection had a similar start with Brondby taking an early lead on 13 minutes, and doubled their lead soon after the half time break, that was where the similarities ended though. Aarhus pushed hard in the second half and managed to get two goals back midway through and finished the match all square at 2-2, which was fortunately still enough for our selection to win.

£20 to £1000 Challenge Tip 15 (13th Dec 2017)

£20 to £1000 Challenge Tip 15 (13th Dec 2017)

Reason for Bet 15 selections: For Bet 15 it was back to our reliable teams Bayern and Manchester City for the third time in this £1000 betting Challenge.

Bayern were still undefeated at Allianz Arena leading up to their game against Cologne, and had also just beaten PSG impressively in the Champions League. In contrast, Cologne were still yet to win a single league game after playing nearly 4 months of the Bundesliga. Therefore selecting Bayern Munich to win was an impossible choice to ignore.

Our Man City selection "Corner match bet (Man City)" required a little more thought. Guardiola's Man City team dominate most teams they play and therefore are usually awarded more corners as a result. The main risk with corners is if your selected team takes an early lead and then decides to then sit back, however Swansea had kept clean sheets in their last two home games so an early away goal looked unlikely, making City likely winners of a "corner match bet".

Bet 15 Outcome: Both of Bet 15's selections struggled far more than expected. Bayern utterly outclassed Cologne on the balance of play, with more than 80% possession and 26 attempts on goal, however they were only able to manage a 1-0 win, although that was still enough for our selection to win.

Man City also dominated, and had a 3 corner advantage by half time, however they were also 2-0 up so eased off a little in the second half. Fortunately though they still dominated play enough to maintain their 3 corner advantage and win the corner match bet 5-2.

£20 to £1000 Challenge Tip 16 (15th Dec 2017)

£20 to £1000 Challenge Tip 16 (15th Dec 2017)

Reason for Bet 16 selections: At this stage of the £1000 betting Challenge we were really trying to keep all selections as safe as possible and not take even the slightest risk, which is why the odds on both of Bet 16's selections are so short.

Both selections (NEC Nijmegen and Sevilla) only needed to avoid defeat for Bet 16 to win, and both had home advantage where they were very strong. NEC Nijmegen had dropped just 2 points at home all season and were scoring goals for fun, and Sevilla were traditionally strong at home and had also only dropped 2 points at home leading up to their match.

On top of that, their opponents were struggling for form. Helmond had only managed 2 wins in their 16 League games leading up to this fixture, and had just lost their last 3 games. As for Levante, although they had drawn a fair few games, they had only managed 3 wins from their 15 League games leading up to this. Therefore, both NEC Nijmegen and Sevilla looked very unlikely to lose.

Bet 16 Outcome: Bet 16 gave another great example of why it's always advisable to try and cover the draw. Both selections dominated their games, having more possession and chances on goal, yet neither team was able to win their game. NEC Nijmegen ended up with a 1-1 draw, and Sevilla had to settle for a 0-0 draw, but with both our selections being "double chance" for the win or draw, both our selections won, moving the betting challenge another step closer to the £1000 target.

£20 to £1000 Challenge Tip 17 (16th Dec 2017)

£20 to £1000 Challenge Tip 17 (16th Dec 2017)

Reason for Bet 17 selections: As with Bet 16, we focused on covering the draw again for Bet 17. Once again the odds were very short but the outcomes were very likely and at this stage, short odds still result in big gains, as the stakes are so high.

Chelsea hadn't had the best of seasons, however they are still a quality side and very strong at Stamford Bridge. Leading up to this fixture Chelsea had already lost a couple of home games in the league, but their first against Burnley was affected by an early red card, and their second was to Man City who have beaten most teams this season. On top of that, their opponents Southampton had managed only 1 win and 5 goals in their 7 away fixtures leading up to this game, so it looked very unlikely Chelsea would lose.

As for Braga, they had been incredibly strong at Estádio Municipal de Braga, and had only dropped points in one home league game leading up to this fixture against Belenenses, which was a narrow 1-0 loss to Portuguese giants FC Porto. As if this wasn't enough, Belenenses had lost 6 of their 7 away league matches leading up to this game. Therefore Braga looked heavy favourites for the win, and were certainly not expected to lose.

Bet 17 Outcome: Chelsea dominated their match with Southampton, as expected, having four times as many attempts on goal and more possession of the ball. This did however only convert into a 1-0 win for Chelsea thanks to a Marcos Alonso goal just before half time, but it was more than enough for our selection to win.

Braga had far less trouble disposing of Belenenses, easily winning thanks to clinical finishing, which resulted in 4 of their 12 attempts on goal being converted, and resulting in an impressive 4-0 win.

£20 to £1000 Challenge Tip 18 (17th Dec 2017)

£20 to £1000 Challenge Tip 18 (17th Dec 2017)

Reason for Bet 18 selections: The odds on Sampdoria vs Sassuolo enabled us to back the home side with an extremely good handicap. The "+1 asian handicap" would only lose if Sampdoria lost by 2 or more goals, and that seemed impossible considering their home form leading up to this game. They had only dropped points in 1 of their 7 home Serie A games leading up to this fixture, and Sassuolo had only won 4 of their 16 league games and none of those were by more than a 1 goal margin. Sampdoria did have a slightly suspect head2head record against Sassuolo, but the +1 asian handicap surely made the selection safe.

Our Besiktas selection also had a good element of safety as a win or draw would give our selection the win, and Besiktas very rarely lose at Vodafone Park. Besiktas may have had a few more draws than they would have liked at home leading up to this game, but they were still undefeated and had just beaten Turkish giants Galatasaray 3-0 in their last home fixture, so form and quality was on their side. On top of that, their opponents Osmanlispor were still yet to win a single game away from home that season.

Bet 18 Outcome: This was intended to be the final bet of the challenge as the £878.67 stake would have returned £1031.61 had both selections won, however Sampdoria had different ideas. Despite dominating possession, they failed to pose much of a goal threat and Sassuolo were the more dangerous side, creating more goal scoring opportunities. After Sassuolo missed a late penalty in the 83rd minute it looked like Sampdoria might hold on for the draw, however Sassuolo snatched a 1-0 win with a goal in the 90th minute, which made our first selection void.

Besiktas on the other hand had no such problems and ran out convincing 5-1 winners after a dominant display, which included a hat-trick for Ryan Babel. This meant Bet 18 was a partial win taking the total up to £933.15 instead of reaching the £1000 target.

£20 to £1000 Challenge Tip 19 (18th Dec 2017)

£20 to £1000 Challenge Tip 19 (18th Dec 2017)

Reason for Bet 19 selections: It was now time for the final bet of the £1000 betting Challenge, everything came down to this one double. Either everyone who followed would end up with nothing or they would successfully turn an initial £20 stake into over £1000 from just 19 bets.

The selections in this double were ridiculously safe, giving a total odds of just 1.08, however that was all that was required to reach the £1000 target amount with a stake of £933.15, so no need to take any risks.

The Fenerbahce vs Karabukspor game just needed a single goal for the first selection to win, and considering their previous 7 home league games had all contained at least 3 goals, with Fenerbahce scoring 2 or more in all of them, the chances of one goal looked very likely. Especially when they were playing a Karabukspor side who were yet to win away from home and had conceded in all of their away league games that season prior to this fixture.

As for our second selection, once again only a goal was needed but this time in the Lens vs Tours game. The France Ligue 2 isn't a league we would rush to out of choice but the fixtures were below average on this day, however a goal in this fixture still looked very likely. Lens had scored 2 or more goals against the majority of opponents they had faced at Stade Bollaert-Delelis leading up to this game, and their opponents Tours were really struggling for form and had conceded against all opponents away from home in the league. Surely this pattern wouldn't change now!

Bet 19 Outcome: Our first selection (Fenerbahce vs Karabukspor) was creating some concern as it got to half time with the score 0-0, and Fenerbahce hadn't even had a single shot on target. However in the 56th minute, Fenerbahce midfielder Mehmet Topal gave Fenerbache the lead and our first selection the win.

On to our second selection (Lens vs Tours), and this one was far less stressful. After only 12 minutes of the play Lens forward Cristian Lopez scored the goal that completed our £20 to £1000 Challenge, returning £1009.49 from just a £20 stake in 19 consecutive bets.

Summary

I hope this has given you a good insight into the approach and thought processes required when selecting bets to complete a betting challenge like this. These betting challenges are extremely difficult to complete and will always require a little good fortune along the way, but with the right approach and a good level of patience they are definitely possible and most certainly a lot of fun.

Hey mate, in this case, can I bet more than 20pound? I want to bet around 50pound, so is that okay?

Hi Bryan, you can decide what amount you wish to use as your starting stake, just the same as you can decide what the completion amount should be. Some cash out when they reach a lower amount, and others aim for even higher. The risk will increase or decrease depending on your choices.
